MAD HATTER TEAPOTS
Riverside Brookfield High School, 2010
Using the skills you have developed so far (coil or slab construction and wheel throwing) build an original tea set of one teapot and a minimum of two thrown tea cups. This is not your everyday teapot you would find in your great aunt Sally’s kitchen cabinets. These pots are both sculptural and utilitarian but function should follow form. They should be visually engaging and dynamic. Your only limitations are that it must have a handle, spout and lid. As much or as little of the teapot can be thrown on the wheel. In addition to the Teapot you must also have 2 thrown cups with handles. These cups must aesthetically relate to your teapot in some way. (shape, form, texture, glazing, etc.)
